Mornings with Greta...

Now that Andrew and Hailey are in preschool on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, I am getting more 1:1 time with Greta. Today, Greta and I took a nice walk in the park, did a wee bit of shopping, and got in her 15-month pediatrician appt.

We stopped at the duck pond at the park, where Greta fed bread to about 50 ducks. She had no idea what the heck was going on at first, and then she started smiling and decided that this activity was a hoot. The ducks started taking the bread right out of her hand!

The amazing thing about little kids at this age is how much they change in just one month. About 6-8 weeks ago, Greta was in a fussy stage, doing lots of sqwaking and making herself known. Well, then the next month, only a few weeks ago, she turned back into the sweetest little girl ever. She giggles all day, has a big smile and hug ready for all of us all the time. She is growing up so quickly - starting to appear as a toddler in a lot of ways, and also able to keep up with A&H in a lot of activities.

Greta has also increased so much in her comprehension of words. We can talk to her about so many topics, and she nods or shakes her head with her yes/no answers. She absolutely LOVES books right now, and all she wants to do all day is have us point at pictures in her books and teach her the words. She picks them up so quickly, and now can recognize dozens and dozens of items. Of course, I am biased, but I think she is a very bright lil' girl!!
