Memorial Day hike
We have been enjoying time at our place in Whistler, BC over the last few days. One fun activity was yesterday's Memorial Day hike to Brandywine Falls. We did this hike two years ago when A&H were still in their toddler phase. But we had a lovely time doing this yesterday, even though it is the world's easiest hike. :)

Last day of preschool.... plus birthday fun
Today was Andrew and Hailey's last day of preschool! We are so sad to see this come to an end because the kids have absolutely loved this year of school! It has been a delight to watch them blossom in this wonderful class; they have made fun friends, learned lots, and matured in so many ways. I can hardly believe my kids are changing so quickly before my eyes!
The extra bonus at preschool today is that we celebrated A&H's FOURTH birthday in their class. Their big day is actually next Wed, June 1, but it was fun to celebrate it at school today. The twins each wore crowns, we shared a fun cake with everyone, and daddy even joined us. I stayed for the rest of class, and snapped a few shots of the fun activities they were doing. We are grateful to Mrs. Debbie and Mrs. Courtney for how they have loved our kids this year!

Drew got to open one present this morning, which was the new dump truck he had requested many times! Then he spent the afternoon moving my mulch all over the yard. (Where was this toy a month ago, when I was spreading mulch by myself??)

Greg's Bday
Greg's birthday was May 11th.... and he had a day full of surprises! The day started with a breakfast with just the two of us at our favorite local diner, Lil' Jon's. After eating lots of yummy bacon, Greg got a handful of gifts to open. Then at lunchtime at Microsoft, I surprised him by having his manager set up a fake meeting, which was really a cupcake party in Greg's honor. It was so great to surprise him!
The kids and I took him out to dinner, and then he was headed for his second surprise: a party waiting at our house with all of our neighbors! We live on a wonderful street with tons of delightful fun friends, so I had them all sitting in our sunroom when we arrived home. Greg shrieked when he saw them all! I loved it. So, here are a few pics of the neighbors and cupcakes. Happy Birthday, honey!
