Over 4th of July weekend, we headed to fabulous Alderbrook Resort, which is on the Hood Canal, about 80 miles from here. We only went one night, but had a great time playing on the beach, watching boats, swimming in the pool, watching crabs, playing bocce ball, and eating dinner outside on the patio. The highlight, of course, was being in their annual July 4th parade! The kids didn't quite know what to think of that....but they always love a party!
