Art Class

Today the kids enjoyed their first ART class! Nana (my mom) and I took them to a new Gymboree Kids club that just opened in Bellevue, and we signed up for a free art class. Here are some pics!

We started with the traditional play-doh activities for the first few minutes:

We made "shakers" by putting hard pasta noodles into plastic bottles, which was a great fine motor skill exercise. This one was great to do. Then, of course, we had to use glue to paste flowers onto the bottle... oh, glue on the fingers is so fun!

Of course, it wouldn't be art without some watercoloring - our first attempt! I was surprised that they picked this up quickly. Nana says we have a budding Picasso and Rembrandt on our hands...

Lastly, when we played with the stamp-markers,.... Drew decided it was more fun to eat the purple one! :)
