San Diego!

After spending a week on Balboa Island, we moved our family south for another week of fun.  Our second week has been in San Diego, where we are tackling a whole new set of tourist adventures!   We have rented a charming little house in La Jolla, which is about three blocks from the beach. 


Here are some sea lions hanging out in La Jolla Cove, which is near where we are staying.


We spent one afternoon touring the USS Midway, which is an enormous aircraft carrier that is now retired and docked in San Diego Harbor.  The deck of the ship had dozens of planes and helicopters on it, and we toured the rest of the ship to see how the sailors ate, slept, and worked.  This ship is such an impressive part of our military.

The house here has a great patio, so the kids have been playing with the wagon for hours.  Every day they push and pull each other around the yard with it.  And it is so helpful to take the wagon to the beach, too!
