Happy Birthday, Camaro!

We had a delightful 4th of July here. We celebrated by visiting the Kirkland parade where the kids caught free candy and saw lots of neat floats. We got lucky with parking and then someone offered us their chairs right on the curbside route... yea! The highlight was seeing lots of cool cars, like Teslas, Deloreans, and Ford Mustangs. Drew plugged his ears most of the time, though, as he is our one with sensitive hearing. :)

Greg decided spur-of-the-moment to make a birthday cake for America. So, we enjoyed a lovely two-layer cake with lots of sprinkles on it. Then we blew out candles and sang happy birthday to America.

When I was putting Hailey to bed and saying prayers, we had a hilarious prayer. We usually start where she repeats after me. It went like this :

Me: Dear God, Thank you for today..
Hailey: Dear God, Thank you for today...
Me: Thank you that we live in America.
Hailey: Thank you that we live in a Camaro.

I died laughing at that one!

Three funny videos posted below, too.

Here are three videos:

1) Hailey and Drew talk about the July 4th parade.

2) Greta talks about the July 4th parade

3) Hailey sings a song from Vacation Bible School. The words go "The B-I-B-L-E, that's the book for me..." but she doesn't quite spell Bible correctly, which is very funny.
